Frank Lampard asserted his importance to Chelsea as his brace allowed them to beat Everton 2-1 on Sunday. The Blues were on the backfoot for most of the game before Lampard’s brace gave them three vital points. Petr Cech is a doubt for the Blues after picking up an ankle injury against Everton.

QPR were just terrible as they lost 3-0 to Liverpool. In a first half performance that was up there with the worst ever in the Premier League, the Hoops let in three goals as their defence lost its shape.

They did improve after the second half but it also coincided with Liverpool taking their foot off the pedestal. The defeat would have irked Harry Redknapp who was left fuming on the sidelines as his side were booed off the field by their own fans.
