Stoke produced a stunning late comeback as they drew 3-3 with Southampton in their last game. The Potters, normally so solid at the back at the Britannia Stadium, surprisingly trailed 3-1 to struggling Saints and then had to play twenty minutes with ten men following a red card to Steven Nzonzi.

However Matthew Upson’s late goal earned the Potters a precious point and maintained their unbeaten run at home. Geoff Cameron and Ryan Shawcross were both missed by the Potters against Southampton, especially the latter, and both will return from suspension for the City game.

Shawcross has been linked with a winter switch to City and will be keenly observed in this fixture.
